Rep. Kevin Kiley asks RFK Jr. to investigate California privacy violations WASHINGTON (4/30/25) – Rep. Kevin Kiley (CA-3) has called on HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to investigate reports that the personal information of tens of thousands of Californians was compromised. Rep. Kiley’s letter to Secretary Kennedy is attached to this email. A forensic investigation into Covered California, a California state government entity that operates the state’s Affordable Care Act (ACA) exchange, was found to have tracked users’ personal health information and transmitted it to LinkedIn as part of a “marketing campaign.” The tracked information included pregnancy, prescription drug use, gender identity, and being a victim of domestic violence. “This is incredibly disturbing,” Rep. Kiley said. “It appears that the privacy rights of Californians were recklessly violated.” Rep. For Those That Don't Believe Us On The Radio You heard right — same great music, but a new, honest name. KSRW FM is now Classic Rock Asylum! Why the change? Simple. We decided it was time to stop pretending we're normal. We’re all a little crazy about our music (and maybe just crazy in general), so it only made sense to embrace it fully. We're now proudly the radio station run by the lunatics — the die-hard fans who crank the volume to 11, debate guitar solos at 2 AM, and think a good drum solo can fix just about anything. Don't worry about MC Hubbard, she is still here. We keep her in the straitjacket to keep normal away from the radio. But don’t worry: the soundtrack you love isn't going anywhere. It’s still the classic rock you know and blast, with even more energy, chaos, and personality behind the mic. So tune in, turn it up, and join us in the asylum — it’s way more fun over here. https://sierrawave.net/for-those-that-dont-believe-us-on-the-radio/

Representative Kiley Introduces the Medicare Protection Act   WASHINGTON – Today Representative Kevin Kiley (R-CA) introduced the Medicare Protection Act, legislation to provide a one-time exemption for the sale of a principal residence from counting as income for the calculation of Medicare premiums. This will provide seniors greater financial freedom and prevent surprise hikes in premiums that blow holes in seniors’ budgets.   “Every year, seniors who sell their homes see surprise Medicare premium increases of hundreds of dollars a month. The sale proceeds can temporarily raise seniors’ income, causing Medicare Part B and D premiums to skyrocket by over $500 a month. With rapid growth in the Sacramento and Sierra Nevada regions, many seniors who bought homes decades ago face staggering and expected premiums as they sell their homes due to appreciation. This legislation will provide much needed relief to seniors in every portion of the district,” said Rep. Kiley.   CLICK HERE to view ...

Alvarado-Gil issues statement on “Taylen and Wyatt’s” Law SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Today, Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil (R-Jackson) issued the following statement clarifying the status of Senate Bill 818 (SB 818), also known as “Taylen and Wyatt’s Law":   “The version of SB 818 that passed the Senate Natural Resources Committee yesterday is not the bill the Brooks family and I fought for, but it has not been pulled. After consulting with the family, they chose not to support the amended version — a decision I fully respect. Despite this, the committee forced those hostile amendments through — a shady, all too common tactic the Democratic supermajority uses to quietly kill legislation. I’m grateful to the Brooks family and to my constituents in El Dorado County for standing with us. I remain committed to finding a path forward, and to delivering a bill truly worthy of the name ‘T...
