Mild and dry thur the weekend. Then it looks like our ridge of high pressure finally breaks down over the weekend. This is due to a strong tough moving through the region Monday. Expect scattered rain in the Owens Valley, with a little snow (1 - 3 inches) in Mammoth Monday and Tuesday. More on all this Friday...DMATT

Area Forecast Discussion Owens Valley / Mammoth Lakes / Mono County / Death Valley Dennis Mattinson / Sierra Atmospheric Forecaster Synopsis - FRI SEP 19 2025 Tropical moisture moves in today (from TS Mario). Also today should be the best chance of showers and t-storms, as the center of the low passes overhead. Saturday looks much drier, with an isolated t-storm possible over higher elevations. Sunday should be on the dry side for the Valleys, with your temps on the rebound.
