Forecast Discussion - Thu Feb 15 - Sun Feb 18 2024

 

The transition to a more unsettled period has arrived, with the first storm last night into today. Mammoth Main Lodge should pick up 5 - 10 inches, Aspendell 1 - 3 inches, with the Owens Valley getting scattered rain. Friday looks dry, as a low amplitude ridge shifts inland. Thereafter the second storm arrives Saturday PM into Sunday, similar to Wednesday's system. Mammoth Main looks to pick up about 3 - 6 inches. The last storm of the series arrives about Sunday PM, sending waves through Wednesday. We are still many days out, so uncertainty remains for this system. I will have updates Monday...DMATT
