Looks like a chance of snow for Mammoth, starting tonight, continuing thru the weekend. The Owens Valley gets their chance at precipitation later Friday into the weekend as well. The first northerly focused wave tonight will bring snow levels in Mammoth to about 7k feet, with 4 - 8 inches possible at the Main Lodge. The second wave begins to affect the area Friday / Saturday, from an upper trough off the CA coast, drawing up subtropical moisture off the Pacific. Snow levels look lower, down to 5k feet, with the Main Lodge picking up a possible 12 - 15 inches by Sunday. The Owens Valley looks to have a notable rain event, in terms of QPF, thru the weekend...DMATT
