Area Forecast Discussion - Mon Apr 22 2024

Well if you liked Sunday, you are sure to be happy with today. Temps are still some 10 degrees above average. But this is spring and heights begin to fall by Tuesday, as a cut off low works its way down the coast and phases in with a trough over N. Rockies. It will then slowly move inland this week. Most precipitation will be limited to the higher terrain of Mammoth and the Sierra Crest, Wednesday thru the weekend, with the Owens Valley seeingfire showers on Friday. All in all then, there will be almost a 20° drop in temps from today, down to a high of only 67° in Bishop over the weekend...DMATT
