Today is the first "Full" day of Summer and the last day of sub 100° temps in the Owens Valley. Saturday / Sunday brings on the heat, with 102° in Bishop. All due to a strong ridge axis located to our South, with a SW flow persisting. Generally your temps then should vary little most of next week, with the low 100s in the Owens Valley and the upper 70s in Mammoth. So you can expect a Moderate Heat Risk to be in place for the Owens Valley. Fortunately the nights will still be cool, with a very dry air mass in place. BTW Death looks to hit 123° next week...DMATT
