100 Women Who Care Eastern Sierra Donates $8,500 to Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Bishop


 

Bishop, CA – September 24, 2025 – 100 Women Who Care Eastern Sierra (100WWCES) presented a collective donation of $8,500 to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) in Bishop, helping provide food, clothing, and assistance to those in need.

 

Since its founding, 100WWCES has contributed more than $40,000 to nonprofits serving Inyo and Mono Counties.

 

“Our members are passionate about coming together to make a real difference,” said Darlene Schuetz, Chair of 100WWCES. “By pooling our resources, we’re able to strengthen organizations like St. Vincent de Paul that provide essential support for families in our community.”

No Avalanche on Hwy 395; Chain Controls Causing Truck Turnarounds Mono County, CA — Rumors have been circulating that Highway 395 between Lee Vining and Mono City was closed due to an avalanche, with trucks being turned away. Authorities confirm that there is no avalanche in the area.
