The 4th of July Parade starts at 11am this Saturday, led by Grand Marshal Deena Kastor and a record 55+ parade entries. Thanks to Mammoth Lakes Tourism, the Town of Mammoth Lakes, High Country Lumber (Float Competition Sponsor), and our Uncle Sam Sponsors—Cerro Coso Community College, Holiday Haus Motel, and Edelweiss Lodge, as well as all our sponsors—for helping bring this community tradition to life.

Put on your red, white and blue, find a spot along Old Mammoth Rd. or Main St, and come celebrate. Watching the parade is FREE and everyone is welcome! >>> Click here for info

Plan Ahead

On the morning of the 4th, allow extra time to get around. Main Street will close at 9am, one hour earlier than in previous years, with additional hard road closures to enhance safety along the parade route. Past detours via Forest Trail and Sierra Blvd (Morrisons corner) won't be available this year. After 10am, when Old Mammoth Rd closes, traveling from one side of town to the other will require a detour via the Scenic Loop until the parade had finished—around 12:30pm.

Keep the Parade Safe

Clap. Don't Splash!

Help us keep the parade safe and fun for everyone. While water balloons and squirt guns have become an unofficial tradition over the years, they create safety hazards for participants and spectators alike. Just like last year, we're asking everyone to remember one simple message: Clap, Don't Splash. Cheer loudly, wave proudly, and leave the water at home.

New & Improved Entrepreneurship Course and Certificate

Cerro Coso Community College has revised our entrepreneurship certificate which now includes a new Foundations of Entrepreneurship course that explores creativity, innovation, and problem solving in entrepreneurial idea generation. The course explores how to develop a business plan and bring ideas to market. The entrepreneurial certificate also leads to completion of our new small business management certificate and associates degree.  >>> Click here to learn more

Light Up the Night

End your Fourth of July with the Eastern Sierra's biggest fireworks show at Crowley Lake. This year's custom-designed Sky Concert features more than 960 fireworks shells lighting up the night sky during a spectacular 17-minute display beginning at 9:15pm (weather permitting). Admission is $30 per vehicle or $5 walk-in (children 12 and under are free). Remember, personal fireworks are prohibited throughout Mono County—leave the fireworks to the professionals. >>> Click here for more information

Mono County Fire Restrictions

Stage 1 fire restrictions are now in effect across Mono County as warm, dry conditions increase wildfire risk. Campfire and smoking restrictions apply, and personal fireworks remain prohibited.
