Sierra LifeFlight Support Since The Beginning
Since the Rock Fire ignited on July 20, 2026, Sierra LifeFlight has been providing around-the-clock support to firefighters and emergency personnel, remaining on scene 24 hours a day, seven days a week. During a tour of the temporary fire response city at the Eastern Sierra Tri-County Fairgrounds today, Lisa Davis shared that Sierra LifeFlight has been an integral part of the incident from the very beginning and will continue serving until the fire is fully contained.


The dedication of Sierra LifeFlight, alongside the countless firefighters, first responders, medical personnel, and support staff, is a powerful reminder of the strength of our local community. Their unwavering commitment to protecting lives and standing ready to respond whenever needed reflects the very best of the Eastern Sierra. We are deeply grateful for their professionalism, sacrifice, and tireless service throughout this challenging wildfire incident.

Signage Acknowledging Timbisha Shoshone Ordered Removed From Death Valley Exhibits Just days after Death Valley National Park issued a press release celebrating the shared history and long-term relationship between the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe and Death Valley, the Trump administration has ordered the National Park Service to remove signage acknowledging the tribe from park exhibits. The directive instructs the National Park Service to remove or revise interpretive signage that recognizes the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe’s historical and ongoing connection to the land within Death Valley National Park.  Secretary’s Order 3431 directs federal land management agencies to conduct comparable audits of all content made available to the public.
